Never knew what the sound would be like inside the JB on this cold winters night walking down,I was impressed though with the overall night,free entry,packed pub,banter with both acts, just what you need.Carl goes on about 8.30pm opening with 'I Can't Watch Over You Anymore',off his 2nd Cd, always a song to start with never a song to end with unlike 'Until I Shoot My Gun'.Also shows he has stonger sets and songs to chop and change with unlike a couple of years ago.'Why I`m I Misunderstood'starts with just the voice then picks up momentum in the second verse,then the chorus just hits you.'Laying On Your Side',a dreamy Song that reminds me of nights when you don`t wanna go home.'Don`t Bring Me Down', has influenes of Irish song writer`s through out the track Eg Van Morrison.Both acts have given a good account of themselves through out the nite.
